This is one of the few (and the best) farm to table restaurants in Taos. We’ve been eating here through both ownerships and it has been consistently very, very good. It’s one of the few places that is friendly and economical enough to bring kids yet delicious and elegant enough to splurge on the best wines (the owner’s well chosen wine menu is impeccable) and feel good food. Staffing in Taos is tough, to say the least. But we’ve had the same great waitstaff for years here. Whatever they’re doing, it’s working.

Smoky. The food was great, the tuna cones appetizer was cute and delicious. However the place was filled with cooking smoke. They need better exhaust fans or something. It detracted from my experience and left a sting in my nose and the back of my throat. So its good food and probably more like $$ than $$$. But the smoke is a big negative!
