Hungarian Goulash Soup. Went there and had a Goulash soup that was out of this world! Best soup that actually tastes like Goulash I think that I’ve ever had in my life! Fantastic place and the waitress was really nice! Great food!
Great German Food!. The food was wonderful here and the views from the deck were enchanting. A magical place and worth the visit when in New Mexico! Loved the special music too.

We stopped in after hiking in the Taos Ski Valley. We split a wonderful sausage plate complete with three sausages, potatoes with an Optimator sauce (yum!) and kraut. The pretzels were also great: hot and fresh with plenty of mustards to choose from. We topped it off with a delicious homemade apple strudel. Of course there was plenty of German beer on hand. Service was fast and friendly. We love good German food, and this place did not disappoint!
My boys and I ate lunch there while skiing spring break. The service was ridiculously slow and the waitress was kind of a smart mouth when I inquired where our food was. When it finally arrived it was nothing special at all and a price tag of almost $60.00 3 people. no alcohol involved and over an hour of precious ski time. I would not recommend this place unless you have plenty of time.
HIde Away. This place sits in a ski lodge which is very high in the MTNS well past the base area. In the winter, you need a 4×4 to make it up the hill. The theme is very Germanic which plays to the area’s past. The food was very German and authentic. So, the meats were good….I think…. The sausages were all small and lacked a great sense of taste but they might be cooked that way on purpose. The pastas were good and the Cesar salad was normal. The chocolate cake was great so save room. Portion size is high. The beer selection was great. You can get a good selection of German and European beers here. The service was good with just one guy working the room but since it is the off season it is OK. In the TSV it is the only place open on Sunday night. It is expensive so watch out.
A Gem.. Great food and drink with an awesome atmosphere.
