Good, but we weren’t amazed, awed. Had the blueberry duck and the cassoulet.Duck: Listed to be prepared med-rare. It came well done. Not that big of a deal to me, as I am the type who doesn’t mind a well-done piece of poultry. But I was looking forward to a new fancy adventure. Dashed! However, though the amount of sauce was lacking, it’s depth was great. Rich, but thin without being to heavy on the sweet blueberry. It was a mere highlight to a savory, deep duck drizzle. The bacon and gruyere spinach were great. The slightest bit of wilt made for a crisp, fresh cooked spinach. Perfect amount of bacon and cheese that never overpowered a bite. I wasn’t a big fan of the scalloped potatoes – they tasted no better than Mom’s casserole I dreaded every Easter.Cassoulet: extremely high hopes. this must be a buzz dish right now. if you don’t know what this is, it’s basically the French version of pork & beans. The pork belly – soft, sweet, excellent. The confit, not tender. Had to tear the meat from the bone. Did develop some delicious flavor. Andouille sausage was an interesting, but very bland addition. The beans were quite under cooked. We like toothsome beans, but this was over the top for us. And the presentation was small town high school cafeteria line sloppy. However, the flavors were generally good. Very rich without – oddly enough- being heavy. An excellent warming dish for a cold night.Service was very iffy. Waiter was not professional – sure, we are young snowboarders as he was, but you are much too casual in your attitude. Kitchen was ridiculously slow. Also made the mistake of sitting by the fireplace. Albeit warm, the second hostess, who was wearing a bare breasted Monroe t-shirt (while all other employees wore standard black on black), continually tended the fire and piled wood where I was sitting.Yes, we recommend it. Yes, we would go back. A place like this definitely deserves a second and third try.

Great food. We ate in the bar. Because we were very early and it wasn’t busy, we were offered the full menu. But, we all still ordered off the bar menu.Fish tacos were outstanding (yes, fish tacos. Try them! Don’t think of them as tacos made from fish. Think of them as fish with a Mexican twist served in a tortilla.) Ribs were tender and juicy. Sweet potato fries were crispy outside and tender inside. The only thing we didn’t like was the margarita. It was bitter and very strong. Next time, I’ll just have wine or beer.
