We stayed at the Taos Inn last night Very charming! I’m currently sitting in the Adobe Bar enjoying a delicious peanut-almond scone for bfast. The staff has been most accommodating during our stay. The Inn and Bar are a nice find … Especially if you’re ready to walk the Taos scene.

Great place for lunch. I stopped in for lunch. We sat on the patio. We had pretty good service. But the food was great, my boyfriend had the elk burger and I had the quesadilla’s. It was a good time.

Great Ambience. I came here a couple of times and I enjoyed the environment. They have free live music every night and it was just a great place to relax and enjoy hanging out with friends.

Nice place but too small. Way too small for the action. Should be a piano lounge. Out of times with what is really happening. They try too hard to be big league. Get real and stay small and act like you are small. Historic, yes. Too crowded and way too expensive for locals. During the day time zero action cause locals will not go near the place. Tourist place only, will not be able to meet anyone from Taos cause it caters to out of towners. Milk it Adobe! Forget the locals, eh? Who wants to pay $12 for a plate of chips and cheese? Big city price for a little, tiny, crowded worn out scene? Sweet staff but under paid, tourist get stiffed with high prices and the staff get screwed with no tips. Get real!

Great Margaritas. Stopped in for a drink one evening, and found they had really good margaritas. Expensive, but very well done. The place was packed, and there was a trio entertaining that was quite mellow, with just enough edge to make them fun.

Great Location, Great Bar, Good Music, the Food Sucks. Reading over other reviews I have to admit that the pluses of the Adobe Bar are many: location, margaritas and beer selection, and the live music. But, don’t order off their menu, the food isn’t even sub-par, it’s borderline inedible. That being said, I go to the Adobe Bar on a regular basis for their margaritas and because, in the summer, they have some of the best outdoor seating in town. I just will never, ever order food there again.

Best Casual Dining. In Taos, The Adobe Bar is the place to eat. They serve food from 11:30am till 10pm. There’s salads, sandwiches, and burritos. Even the vegan can find a nourishing meal there!Dont forget the atmosphere! Free live music every night of the week brings out all the cool locals, and offers excellent people-watching. As well as really good music, the staff takes very good care of you, and makes the best margarita.
