Loved it!!!. We stayed here for the weekend, beautiful place to stay. The bar is amazing, the bartenders where great. Except for the female one. They where fast and knew how to make a drink. The dinning room at the El Monte was to die for too. This is a place you must check out.
Spendy? Sure, but it’s the El Monte. Yes the bar and bar menu are spendy at the Anaconda bar but what else would you expect from a place connected to one of Taos’ luxury hotels? I would love to say that every bartender is equal and all their drinks are worth the money but I’d be lying. There are some fantastic individuals working at the Anaconda and should you be there when they’re working you won’t be sorry when it comes time to pay for your hand-made Mojitos or near-perfect dry Martinis.If you’re willing, I recommend the bison burger. It’s spicy so if you’re a lightweight, have the chile on the side. If you’re feeling more refined I would suggest the cheese tray. It comes with three cheeses, wonderful figs, and amazing truffled honey (socks, knocker-off’er).
