Byzantium is a must stop if you are visiting Taos. It is an intimate setting that is filled with unique decor. The food is delicious and the beer and wine is out of this world. Basically the place has all the best qualities and I would strongly recommend this to anyone who wants to have a great meal and experience. Try anything and you’ll be happy.

We enjoyed a wonderful meal and excellent service at Byzantium. The pork tenderloin was perfectly prepared, and the seasonings let the ingredients shine. The chicken with potatoes and sauerkraut was simple, tender, and delicious. We started with a shrimp ceviche that was as good as any I’ve ever had. We have had some good meals in Taos but this was our favorite place!
Neat restaurant off the square. We enjoyed Byzantium. It is small & quiet. Food was great & waiter was super nice. Go to this place when you have time to kick back & relax. You can’t be in a rush.

Dinner. Recommended to us by a local. Had wonderful steamed mussels, the warm spinach salad with poached pear & bacon and pomegranate dressing was excellent. Chicken and pork tenderloin entree’s were fantastic. Excellent and attentive service by the owner/chef.
This is the best meal we have had during 6 days in Santa fe and now Taos. The mussels were large sweet delicious sauce fresh garlic fantastic. The cazuela was excellent with a great sauce and meaty
