Quaint little place with outstanding eats. Ceviche and chicken mole fajitas were sensational. The Chipotle sauce on my shrimp made me smile.
Excellent food that is reasonably priced. We’ve been sampling New Mexican door for two weeks now – all around the state. The food here is as good as it gets! I had the chile rellano which was amazing. The ceviche was excellent. Worth the stop.
We stopped in for lunch today. I ordered the Chilies Rellenos and my husband ordered the special for the day, Tamales. We both chose the green chili. The dishes came with beans and rice. Everything had outstanding flavor! The BEST tamales ever, so tender and delicious. The Rellenos were very YUMMY. Great customer service. We may have to go again tomorrow!
La Cueva is a sheer delight. Intimate, cozy, and authentic, the food is healthy, tasty, and comforting. And the staff is engaging and interesting. What places do you know where your splendid server and host is named Trotsky! Taos is an awesome place, with a spirituality that makes a materialist feel–and feel at home. The mole sauce has no equal; so much of the food is gluten free and the green chili is out of this world. There are many excellent restaurants in Taos, but I know why locals come here and you should too.
Very professional staff that was always there when you needed something. Food was outstanding!! I got the shrimp enchiladas with a chipotle cream sauce. By far the best Mexican restaurant I have had in a long time! Highly recommend coming here when in Taos.
Great Back PatioMaybe the inside looks like a cave, but we never went in there. The back patio is charming and surrounded by a beautiful garden.Service was great. Our waiter really knew the menu and was wonderfully accommodating.We had the trout and the garlic shrimp. Both came with a wonderful little salad and delicious roasted vegetables and rice. Everything was really, really good.The only negative is that they dont serve any liquor.Prices are quite reasonable. I would definitely return.
Eat here asap!!. Great authentic food! All made from scratch and their tea is soooo good.
