Excellent food and excellent service. Please try the Key Lime Pie.
Very good choice. Overall a nice experience, in fact the best we have had to date in Taos. For appetizers we had the PEI mussels which were cooked perfectly in a very nice broth with the truffle fries. The entrees, flat iron steak, and the vegetarian platter were seasoned, cooked and presented wonderfully. The staff was very attentive and it was evident that as much thought has gone into the service aspect of this restaurant as the fine product they are producing. According to my wife, if you are in Taos and do not go here you are crazy.
Great dining experience!. We were in Taos for a ski trip and dined at Mosaic. The staff were very friendly and professional. Thefood was wonderful!
Very good!. I really liked the spicy caesar salad. My husband loved the pork belly appetizer. The key lime pie was also very good. Great service and fab atmosphere.
Less than spectacular. We just finished dinner at Mosaic. This is our experience:Our waiter told us that several of the red wines by the glass listed on the wine menu were not available, which was a disappointment. My meal started with a small crab hors dhoeuvre. It was tasty and the crunch of the crostini added interest. I ordered the spicy Caesar salad with polenta croutons. The salad was delicious. The croutons were a nice touch being crusty on the outside and warm and soft on the inside. The dressing was spicy with a hot finish. My entre was 12 game hen with broccolini and a wild rice risotto cake. The hen was lightly spiced, well prepared, moist and tasty. The broccolini was was cut with a long stalk and was undercooked. It was tough and difficult to cut. The wild rice risotto cake was dry, crumbly and tasted stale and bitter. The flavor of the cake did not seem to go with the other items on the plate. My dining partner had the 12 portion Salade Nicoise. The tuna was well prepared, rare and delicious. By the end of the meal, the lettuce was wilted. The hard stem ends of the green beans had not been removed and there was a discolored, shriveled bean that had been plated along with the fresh. The dressing tasted overwhelmingly lemon and overpowered the vegetable and egg flavors. She said she could not recommend this dish. The bread was crusty and the interior moist and tender. It was very tasty. The waiter was attentive and professional. We found the overall experience uneven and disappointing.
