We stopped in for a quick breakfast on the way to fish with a guide from Streits. Super nice staff. Great coffee and very good breakfast burrito, but the best thing out of all of it was the banana walnut bread.
Great Coffee with superior service. I ALWAYS go here for coffee, the drive through is a nice perk!14 Dec, 2013Perfect!. I get coffee here almost every day. It is my favorite place in Taos. The breakfast burritos are good but a little pricey The Pinon coffee is divine!. The Americano is stong and flavorful. I often use the drive thru which is super handy and fast. The interior is warm and colorful and there is always adequate supplies for adding to your coffee as you like.
Great Spot for Java. Donna and crew are always enjoyable. I enjoy my mocha whenever time allows on my early morning route to Los Alamos Nat Laboratory (work). The gentleman is always talkative and attentive…..that equates to good customer service in my book. As for Donna….she is most exquisite as an owner, maybe one day I’ll have the opportunity of enjoying her company over dinner and a movie (as friends). Stranger things have happened. But regardless, I recommend this place for their coffee, relaxing atmosphere, and customer service.Good job ladies and gent.
Owner Response. I the sole owner, specifically remember the complaining customer above. In the ten years I have been open, and having won 1st Place Best Coffee house, I am usually able to decifer a hostile customer that feels they are entitled in this world to everything free. As far as the 75 cents for a cup of water, they failed explain that they wanted a large custom cup of mine, filled with 20 oz of hot water from my espresso machine, to use for their own tea bag. For my espresso machine to refill the 20 oz, takes a toll on the machine. As far as a locked restroom, the public transportation in front and the abuse by these individuals as using it as a bathing area, was the result. It is not only now clean, but also appreciated by all. The type of coffee beans I chose were intended for persons wanting deep, dark, flavorful tastes. I intended it this way, and will refer anyone to a coffee shop in Taos, where it meets their specific tastes.
Disappointed. I went here today and their coffee tasted burnt to me. It is a cute space and nicely decorated. But it could be a lot warmer to the customer I think. My bones:1) 75c to get an extra cup of water (ridiculous after I spent $14 on breakfast and our coffee2) burnt coffee (I can make better at home in my manual drip maker I just place over a single mug)3) key for the bathroom is just a hassle factor4) lukewarm receptionNot the best in town. Try Caffe Tazza or another place.
The whole coffee shop is art…from the front door to tables to restroom. Owners tapistry art on walls is breath taking….& got the best Latte since leaving Austin!!
