Looked like one of those great little holes in the wall that you just have to see again but…… ….turned out to be just a little hole in the wall that you probably don’t want to taste again. Disappointed, boohoo.
Awesome burrito. I found perichos sort of by accident. There is no other burrito place open for breakfast burrito and I tried out perichos the first time and julie helped me and this burrito was awesome. It only that but a clean Resturaunt and great service. Ugh ugly recommend.
Flavor over ambiance. After seeing other reviews, my wife and I decided to give Perico’s de Albuquerque on Golf Course road a try for lunch. Situated in a strip mall, the facade certainly does not scream out Mexican food. The same can be said for the interior. But I came for the food, not the ambiance. And the food is delicious.I had the #15 burrito, Papa’s con carne with red sauce and a side of chips and salsa. The chips were fresh and the green chili based salsa was tasty and had a pleasant kick to it. The hand held burrito (I didn’t see a smothered option) had spicy ground beef, potatoes and red chili and was delicious. My wife didn’t care for the flavor of the salsa but enjoyed her #18 Fish burrito with red sauce. Both burritos were tasty and filling.The food was great and priced very inexpensively. The service was quick and friendly and the restaurant was clean and pleasant. While Perico’s will probably never replace your favorite hole-in-the-wall for authentic Mexican or New Mexican food, it should definitely be kept in mind for when those other places are not open or nearby and you are looking for a good, quick and inexpensive burrito.
Just had this a few days ago i got the tamale burrito, and i loved it. Its obviously not grandmas homemade tamales for xmas but i have to admit they were pretty good. Very well maintained and quick simple service. I like it and will be going back.
Good food the #1 Red Combo burrito is made with real good meat not just ground beef. The Red chile is perfect for us that like chile but cannot eat it hot. Looking forward to other items on the menu. Also very clean establishment with friendly staff.
Very good food. The tacos are awesome! The shredded beef has very good flavor as well as the chicken. My personal favorite is the ground beef with potatoes and green chile burrito (#15). Service is good and employees are freindly. Give it a try. You wont be disappointed.
DELICIOUS!. Best red chili, tacos and stuffed sopapillas in Albuquerque!! Actually, everything on the menu is great!!
