Do not order curry. Had the worst japanese curry in my life. wow! This is the perfect example of a restaurant that should not exist. Non Japanese cooks who were never trained properly to serve Japanese flavors.
Bad order ?…. I came in right before they closed on a Friday night . i ordered dumplings , which were one of the worst i tried . they were fried , and not steamed , like i thought they should be , an very small , kind of shrunk because of the frying , definetly not worth the price ( $6 or so ) . then i ordered kind of stir fried noodles for main course , with beef and vegetables . that was more of ok , but the meat portion ( beef … ) was pretty low with the amount of noodles that were there . i also had one small beer ( kirin ) , and paid about $28 , which i don’t think worth it … i maybe should have went with the sushi ? ( sushi king … )
Excellent, fresh fish. I have eaten at a number of sushi places in ABQ – as well as throughout the country – and have also eaten at different Sushi Kings in ABQ. The ABQ on Coors is the best in NM. Hands down! While I do enjoy the rolls, I prefer sashimi and this place knows how to do it! The presentation is beautiful, simple, elegant. The pieces of fish are very thick and the portions are large. The fish itself is as fresh as you can get in the desert and well cut. I have never ordered cooked dishes and cannon comment on the kitchen staff. The wait staff, however, is always friendly, expedient, and professional. The biggest downside is driving on Paseo or Alameda. I try to avoid it during the week because I have been caught in traffic jams. It’s a great drive on the weekend. Also, the views up there are spectacular! I recommend it for a late Saturday night dinner.
