TERRIBLE. I went on a date on Friday night and was looking for something a little different. The food was absolutely awful. Extremely overcooked lobster, cold rice, fried dry scallops, sub-par bread, salad out of a bag. Even the free bourbon at the end was terrible. The service wasn’t bad, but there was only one server and there is no way he could provide great service. We spent well over $100 and left hungry. Will not be coming back. Very disappointed
Excellent!. With few good restaurants in ABQ, it was a treat to discover this place! Excellent food, service, portions, & prices! We come for lunch…& love it! It’s classy but not pretentious, family friendly, & NOT A CHAIN!!!! Yay for that!!! It has an old school feel. The neighborhood it’s in kind of adds character. Highly recommend!
If you like being watched by a mullet middle aged man & his parents while eating in the corner, you will love this place. It’s a 1970 resteraunt with ok food. Will never go back. One of the most horrible place to go. Waist of time & money.
I had the antipasto salad. It was good, but I LOVE pickled stuff. It had 10-12 olives, 10-12 pepprocinnis, pickled giadenera, pickled heritage tomatoes, a slab of feta (which is an extra sharp cheese) with a little lettuce and feta dressing. It was overwhelmingly pickled. It almost hurt to finish. I also ordered the beef tenderloin shish kabob, which was really lemony. Combined with the salad, it was too much tang. Every thing by its self was delicious, but I would not order it all together. The staff was more than attentive. They brought the kids each a bowl of applesauce out just because I got my salad out before they got their food. I would rate their food an 8 out of 10, and their service an 11 out of 10. You should eat here, but be careful about how you pair your food.
Terrible Service. The only time the host spoke to our group was when he sat us at a table. Though he asked everyone else seated around us how their meals were, he totally ignored us. The waitress was horrible. She came to our table once, and that was during the 35 minutes we waited for our food to arrive. The rest of the time we had to flag her down , or we wouldn’t have received refills on our drinks. The steaks were very good, however the lobster tails were like rubber, the vegetables and baked potato were bland. We were sopposed to get rolls with the meals, we had to ask the waitress for it, and was brought Texas toast instead. Now back to the host, He thanked everyone for coming in ,and welcomed them back very soon. When we got up to leave he walked right passed us , as if we weren’t even there. Lousy Service , OK food. Will Never Go There again. And to think it was other reviews that got us to try it in the first place. Spend Your Money Elsewhere !!!!
Great Dinner. The Town House Dinning Room is the most under rated eating establishment in Albuquerque. The food is delicious and the personal attention by Frank and his staff is the best. Don’t be fooled by the reasonable prices. The food compares with any restaurant where you can pay three times the price. Frank has paid great attention to the wine list and has grown it to over 70 selections. Frank’s knowledge of wine is as good as you will find except without the intimidation. The greek kabobs are our favorite but we have enjoyed the beef filet as well as the prime rib. Give them a try, you won’t regret it.
Love the Town House!. So, first thing you should know is that adults get complimentary alcohol with their meal. Yep, you read that right. It’s called a footwarmer and it will warm you up for sure! The food is phenomenal as well. Love the chicken cordon bleu! It’s affordable with amazing flavor and addicting fries. You also can’t go wrong with the meats. I love the kebabs and definitely get the pork chops any time they are on special. They are heavenly! Also, the bread is fresh baked and melts in your mouth. Seriously – this place is great! I would eat there every night except it used to be a date night location with my ex. Darn him!
