I was not impressed. I ordered a beef brisket sandwich. The meat was not trimmed at all, having big chunks of fat and and a strip of unchewable gristle in it. For me is a big mistake on a sandwich as I should be able to eat it by hand. I had lunch with friends and the general consensus was a resounding OK. I won’t be going back.

Stopped in here last Sunday for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised. I normally don’t go for buffets but we gave it a shot and it was pretty tasty. Great server as well, happily took our egg orders instead of having to eat scrambled eggs off the steam table. Buffet ran out of their amazing blue corn pancakes and she happily got an order made for us straight from the kitchen. Will definitely be coming back.

Dropped in one thursday evening,. Dad and U made it up there rather late, about 45min before close. we were greeted and had the choice of sitting anywhere, Last time i was there it was Ropers, and it was showing its age, most of the booths had stuffing coming out, or cracks big enough to lose a toddler in. But it was all fresh and new and comfortable. noticed the kitchen looked new. and several enticing display cases there with dessert options. The menu was pretty similar to ropers, i recognised several of my old time favorites. But it is extensive for Breakfast and lunch, and the dinner section was a little small, but so many other things to choose from is no problem. Some of the names and even the combinations are very fun/interesting. Its a good menu. (not good for those who have a hard time choosing) Food was hot, and fresh, and they didnt mind us eating and hanging out a good 10+ minutes after it was closed, We even chatted with Vick on our way out. Nothing super fancy, but good comfort diner foods.

Perhaps the management has changed hands.. My breakfast was to include 1/3 pound of chirizo mixed with my cream gravy. I was not able to see, or taste any chirizo. They brag about their spuds. The so-called spuds were small squares of deep fried prepackaged fozen potatoes. I spoke with three employees; all three apologized and one admitted that the food is not what it used to be. I’ve been going there for years; this was my third recent disappointment — that’s three in a row. I am no longer a customer of theirs and that’s a shame.
