Hidden Gem!. I’ve been hearing about the brew pub for a while, and decided to go try it out. I always avoided the Uptown area because it generally felt like corporate restaurant central….pass. This place is cozy with just the right touch of class. The staff is friendly, fast and knowledgeable, and there’s great weekly specials (the nachos are Mazing!). Plus, the waitress told us they were about to start an industry night Sunday and Monday 40% off drinks after 9 and the kitchen open all night. I’ve been in the industry for a while and this kind of deal is virtually unheard of, especially in ABQ. Excited to become a regular 🙂
Mostly Like It!. First time at ABQ Brewpub. Food is pretty good, especially the Bacon Wrapped Dates and Artichoke dip (a few extra chips are necessary as to not feel the need to double dip! can’t do that when there with anyone other than spouse!) Frankly, the only negative is the slow service. We were there on a Sunday night pretty early, lots of empty table space, and it never got any busier while we were there. The service was friendly enough, just soooooo sloooow. I will try again to see if it gets any better. Enjoyed both the Imperial Stout and the Nut Brown, good beer!
My friends and I went to ABQ brewpub last Friday for a girls night out. When we arrived, we instantly noticed the awesome atmosphere of this pub. Our server came right up and greeted us at the door and kindly brought us to our seat. She promptly took, and came back with, our drink order. A rare sight to see great service like that in a pub. We ordered our food and listened to their live music for the night. The guitarist freakin rocked the place! By the way – order the mussels. I know I will be again! If there was one bad thing I could say, it would be that the pub’s space is too small to invite a large large group, because they seem like they are quite busy. Still, 5/5 for me!
I liked the beer and fish tacos. The mussels tasted too fishy and had a vinegar flavor. Not good!
OK….. and Pricey!. Cool atmosphere, and good music….. Got the cured tuna appetizer and was a bit disappointed, (was expecting more). The guy that was talking about the Grande Nachos was spot on! They were really good! I got the chicken breast pasta which was pretty good but not a bargain at a price of $14.99!!! No bang for your buck on that one… I can tell what this place is going for but they are not quite there, pricing wasn’t great but the two entree’s we got were good…. This place is worth a try but did not knock my socks off…
Try the nachos. This place is awsome with the great Rio Grande beer, and the great nachos with the marinated steak.
