Italian Deli/Bakery?. Ok, as a New Yorker, I find myself pining away for a real Italian Deli. And this ain’t it. What a let down. About the only good thing I can find to say about this phony-baloney place is they carry Boars Head products. After that…forget it. No homemade mozzarella,(for God’s sake, it was frozen!), place was dingy, and un-inviting, nothing fresh on display, and no ‘I’m home’ smell when you walk in. And 12 bucks for a hero? No exciting Italian salads on display. It was lunchtime and you could see the tumbleweeds blowing through the place. We traveled 20 plus miles to go there, and I feel like I should get reimbursed for gas! And please, not in food coupons. Those who recommended this place must be from some cornfield in Kansas. Because if you name ends in a vowel, you’d run screaming into the street.

A crime against sandwiches.. $15 for a meatball sub and a can of soda. Worst meatball sub I’ve ever eaten. The bread could have been good, too bad the cheese on the bottom of the sandwich wasn’t melted, the meatballs were mushy and pasty and ice cold in the center. Topped with the fake powdered parmesan that comes in a jar, this salty, nasty, pasty mess left me feeling bloated and blech for the rest of the day. I can guess why the receipt says NO REFUNDS in giant letters on the bottom, because this place certainly left me wanting my money back. Heck, I would have paid the money not to have eaten this horrible sandwich.

Terrible. According to the timestamp on my receipt, we ordered a meatball sub and a cold sub at 1:15. There were NO OTHER CUSTOMERS IN THE WHOLE PLACE. People, came in, ordered and got their food after us. It is now 1:48, and they remembered we were sitting here waiting. 2 sandwiches, more than half an hour to make, never checked on us, nothing.

They even have hoagie spread!. Closet thing to an east coast sub on my opinion in Albuquerque. Great atmosphere, if you grew up in an Italian family on the east coast you may feel at home, good service too.
