Today’s cook unable or unwilling to keep orders straight, or the order taker had the order mixed up. Cook did as badly in not getting out a burger ordered well on the 2nd attempt as the 1st mix up. Meat flavor is usually good but the cook didn’t execute by cooking correctly. It depends on who is there whether food is cooked correctly, whether the tea containers have been refilled,or the S&P or napkin holders have been refilled or the bathroom has been cleaned or refreshed. Todaythat was a disaster & unflushed, looking like it had someone ill in there. Other visits have been quite good or they can belike this. There is no consistency. Flavor of beef doesn’t override an inexperienced cook or today’s sloppy place. A long drive from the main part of town & you have no idea what you’re going to find today. Not worth it.

Good food, lackluster customer experience. Tasty burger, outstanding fries, really good chicken fried steak with potatoes, but they need to improve the overall customer experience. No welcome when we walked in, nobody even available. Looked over the menu which was hand-written on a whiteboard. Finally a 13 year old kid comes out to take my order, which I had to repeat since he didn’t seem to know how to work the register very quickly. He hands me a wrinkled laminated playing card which apparently is the table marker and then disappears. We could hear and see other teenagers playing around in the kitchen area while we were eating, produce boxes in the hallway in sight of the dining area, nobody came to check on us or refill our water, all the steak knives in the bin were dirty with bits of dried food on them, no butter available for my biscuit, etc. Finished our meal and walked out still with nobody around. We liked the food and the prices were reasonable, but there are plenty of other places just as good or better who know how to take care of customers and earn their return business. I don’t mind casual, but Ironwood Kitchen seems very amateurish.

Awesomeness. Definitely one of the best places in town. I always get the enchiladas, however their burgers are amazing too.

Was sorely disappointed by the enchilada dish. Was cold when delivered.Beans and potatoes were cold and bland. It wasn’t even busy!!In this day and age to let cold food leave the kitchen is an embarrassment .Servers delivered food to surrounding tables and NEVER so much as asked how our food was.Won’t be back.

Is it the cumin or the pepper? This was the conversation between my husband and myself during our meal. We ordered beef and chicken enchiladas and both meats had way too much cumin and pepper. We liked the atmosphere and service and will probably give it another try but we’ll order something different.

Always Decent!. We live around the corner from this little restaurant and we visit at least a few times per month. It’s super casual, no frills dining room, but the service is almost always great. Every place has an off night here and there, but that’s rare at Ironwood. The owner is often there, and he does check in with diners. There were some menu items we didnt care for, but the ones we do like are SO good they keep us coming back! The green enchiladas are the BEST, with or without chicken, all fresh ingredients, beans and spuds on the side complete a stellar combo. Taco plate, Ironwood Spuds and burgers are really good. The kids menu is a huge bonus at around $3 per plate, and keeps us coming back when our budget is tight. The green chile sauce is excellent, tastes homemade, get it on the side if you like it mild. Support your local businesses! This place is local owned, non-chain, fresh made food and we can’t get enough of these in town!!
