Enjoyed another great dinner!. Can I just say this is likely the best place so close to my house; I don’t mind going to get it? The restaurant is busy especially on weekends, but the food is fresh, tastes great and fast. I love the egg foo young, but we get a selection and snack on it during the weekends. The boys like the Szechuan chicken and dumplings. The hubby is hung up on the Shrimp w/lobster sauce. As long as we don’t run out of pork fried rice; we are good.19 Feb, 2012Egg Foo Yung is GOOD!. The food at Rose Garden is always fresh and tasty. Whenever I’ve ordered, the order is always done within minutes of the time they give me. Add the fact it is in my neighborhood, and it’s perfect. The Szechuan Chicken is a pretty good bet, and I always order the Pork Egg Foo Yung. The kids are always ordering the noodles, lo mein or dumplings. DH loves the Shrimp in Lobster Sauce. The prices are great. The staff at Rose Garden are always very friendly, and I don’t believe anyone who would say otherwise. In this economy, people who aren’t courteous don’t stay in business long much less in two locations.
Ate there today huge portions great food
We have eaten at Rose Garden since they opened and have never hss a bad experience. The food has always been top quality, prepared quickly, and presented well. The staff are very efficient but still courteous. I recommend Rose Garden to folks in this area all the time.
Mediocre at best. General tso’s chicken should not be orange chicken with a little more spice.the sauce should be darker and shouldnt taste like oranges they make both dish’s the same. they forget to add soy sauce with takeout. the only thing ive noticed that is good is the hot and sour soup. other than that, I am insulted that they think I am a moron and that i cant tell the difference between orange and general tso’s. I hope to eat here later on and notice some changes. only the soup allows me to see potential in this place.
Yum!. I started getting take out from here when I was in college for lunch, a ton of food for under 6 bucks and it sure beats a greasy burger!
Worst Egg Fu Yung. First of all, egg fu yung should not have peas and carrots. It should contain bean sprouts, onion and meat (or shrimp). That’s it. Next, the sauce is a horrendous, disgusting mess: it was not the savory brown sauce that accompanies egg fu yung: it was starchy and SWEET. Why? You don’t put hoisin in egg fu yung sauce! It completely destroyed an already mediocre dish. Never again. It’s worth driving to the NE Heights to go to Budai.
Very decent! Could use one more employee in dining area during dinner time. For the price you get a lot of food. I wouldn’t say it is the best Chinese food but definitely the beat I have had in a while in abq.
