Cupcakes. Went here for a cake tasting for my wedding. They charged $10 which I think is reasonable, as we did get about 16 cupcakes to try. I’m glad we got an assortment because I was extremely disappointed with the cupcakes. First of all, they only have two types of batter, the vanilla and the chocolate. They use this batter for all the bases of their cupcakes. Its apparently made from scratch, and its terrible. The funfetti cake from a box tastes better than this. The frostings are ok, but nothing to get excited about. If you are a shop that specializes in cake and i’m going to pay a few dollars for every cupcake, each one should have its own unique flavor. I would not recommend this shop to others. The shop inside is nice, but if you want cupcakes, go somewhere else
Nice flavor selection, but I don’t like my cupcakes served cold. I’ve eaten them a few times and they vary from great tasting to dry. Caked by Bittersweets on Golf Course is more reliably nummy and has excellent gluten free cupcakes!
Terrible customer service. My mother & I went in to Cake Fetish on Thursday to order for a party we were having on Saturday. We ordered 3 dozen of regular mini cupcakes & 3 dozen gluten free cupcakes. When we had them picked up on Saturday the order was messed up. They weren’t marked. We called & they were very rude, we were told it was our mistake. They pretty much told us to guess which were gluten free & which were regular. One of the ladies that I spoke to was laughing & joking about the situation. She was very rude, with a huge attitude. She kept calling me sir even after I told her I was a woman. Sad to say I once enjoyed their cupcakes, but due to the TERRIBLE customer service and rude attitudes & the fact that some people could have gotten sick from eating the wrong cupcake, we will no longer purchase from Cake Fetish & I will be contacting BBB.
Just stopped in today for the first time for a Birthday cupcake and I really liked them. The woman who helped us was quiet and friendly. The overall set up is very clean and welcoming. The cupcakes tasted great. I am not sure if they were buttercream they tasted more like a whipped icing which was soo good. The price was good too for what we got. The German chocolate was the best one for my taste buds.
Yummy. Seriously, the cupcakes are delicious. Every time I’ve gotten them, they’ve been delicious, moist, rich and raved about. I’ll use them whenever cupcakes are on the brain, for sure. That being said, the customer service is a bit spotty, so just know that if you need a special order, call and keep calling and then check your order before leaving with it. We had special cupcakes made for a party and they weren’t spelled correctly, but I didn’t check before leaving the store. However, we had a good laugh about it and it didn’t take away from how incredibly delicious they were. Excellent product, but it’s all about the follow through, so just make sure you check what you’re getting. Will definitely use them again and again.
Disappointment. I wanted to like these so much because they look awesome and the flavor combinations sound awesome. Unfortunately they had no flavor! Even the butter cream wasn’t super sweet and tasted like nothing mixed with butter. I’ve tried them about 4-5 times now and have sampled most of the flavors and this is the over-riding theme with every. single. one. Such potential….
Best cake shop in ABQ!. No wonder Cake Fetish has been voted best in the city for so many years! If you need a jaw dropping, impress your guests kind of cake then this is your place! I needed a custom made cake for a baby shower & it turned out exactly as I wanted it! It was so beautiful & SO delicious! Customer service was excellent & the price was perfect! (I would have paid more for what we got!) I’ll be ordering my daughters birthday cupcakes from there soon!
