Well you all are right about this chipotle. It’s definitely not up to par. The serving sizes are minuscule compared to all the other chipotles I’ve been to. The chicken had tough grissley pieces in it. The food was cold. I wish the management would read these reviews and get this restaurant up to speed. This is definitely not how chipotle is run anywhere else .
**avoid**. ::::WARNING::::3 of us ordered, and 3 of us will never return. Burritos were all cold (chicken, steak, pork, vegetables, etc…apparently their steamer/warmer/what-have-you was not on) , the rice was undercooked (hard pellets) and for a hefty price, it certainly wasn’t worth it. We’ve been here several times before and have never really been wowed. Every experience has been underwhelming at best. Plus, the atmosphere was a mess and unsanitary with the filth on the floor.
I normally Chipotle. This seemingly hipster-run location seemed like they thought they were doing me a favor by letting me buy the product. The food provided was less than any other I had previously visited. It’s okay, but could be better. I certainly wouldn’t say it was bad, there are just better ways to spend ones money than this location.
Tried Chipotle for the first time today. I, personally, don’t understand what all the hype is about. The meats, while of good quality, had little to no spice. Their signature red and green salsas had a curious flavor; I couldn’t quite pin point what it was about them, they were just…odd, w/the green being just a tad better. But the flour tortillas used for the burritos were good -thin and fresh. And the guacamole was quite tasty. While not a bad experience (the staff were nice), it just wasn’t for me.
Worse than any Colorado location. When we used to live in Denver my wife and I would laugh about how Chipotle would never fly in our hometown of ABQ. It grew on us when living in CO, so we finally stopped in on an afternoon when this place wasn’t ridiculously crowded. I always ordered the vegetarian burrito, white rice, black beans, hot and medium (corn) salsa in CO and enjoyed it, so of course I figured I was safe ordering the same at the Menaul & Louisiana location. WOW it was horrible! Neither salsa had one bit of heat or flavor, my favorite part was always the last 1/4 of the burrito where the hot salsa was so concentrated it would make my nose run. I guess they decided to tone it down for the most chile crazy city on earth. Several hard crunchy black beans. The guacamole which I remembered as creamy and fresh tasting had a ton of lime juice which ruined it, what was even more frustrating (or funny) is that the counter people did such a horrible job rolling the burritos that I barely could get mine out of the bag and my wife’s fell apart after one bite, and we are experienced eating these! Hers was chicken and I took a bite of it and the chicken was flavorless. I am white and don’t feel like doing a census on the clientele is relevant as many on here do, this place should not be acceptable to ANY Burqueno of any race that has functional taste buds.
Had a Barbacoa salad. Little bit of greens, little bit of cheese, little bit salsa, less then an once of meat, tons of rice and beans… Very salty. The meat was ok, what there was of it. Santa Fe Peppers and Empire Burrito had the same menu, and were much better, and went out of business… Can’t imagine what the attraction of this place is…. Noisy inside too.
