I honestly don’t know why this place isn’t swarming with people the good is excellent! I’ve tried many Vietnamese restaurants in the Albuquerque area and this restaurant is by far the best. I’ve been numerous times and have been satisfied every single time. The C15 is my favorite.. Try it out
This is the best food town. The cheapest too. Not sure what the prior review was talking about when referring to inter racial couples. My wife is viet, I am white and we always get the best service no matter what time of day. I recommend the pork chop or catfish in tomato sauce. You can’t go wrong with an order of spring rolls either. Great place, great food and great sevice.
This place if you want Alvacado shake call before going in!. If you want an Alvacado shake don’t just show up call them if there willing to make it especially after 8pm to closing if they don’t then why even bother to show up there? A fair warning ahead of time ok!08 Jun, 2014Pho Nguyen excellent food and shakes yet afterddark it’s a whole different story to tell!. My boyfriend and I ate @ Pho Nguyen lastnight everything was going good no never complaints about the food nor shakes there. just it was around 8pm we ate there our waiter told us a lie that they were out of alvacados. Really was they didn’t want to wash more dishes that was the case extremely laziness I would say! Ontop our waiter make too many faces twds us my bf and I were figuring out if he had to go to the bathroom? or what’s is his problem? Probably I’m thinking most Vietnamese pple don’t like to see other Vietnamese bi-racial couples/ there kids out in public aswell that’s a fact ok so don’t deny it! Hello it’s 2014 come pple get w/ the bi-racial program already?!!! Ontop of that his baby’s mom & her kids/ she kept stairing a lil to hard jealousy @ (me especially) and my bf. She kept trying to walk by like she had something to prove off her only long hair sweaty/fattiness? I got up in front of her & yes game was over & I won of course! :-). Overall there food/ all dishes pho/ shakes are very excellent! Though there customer service to 8pm & closing extremely sucks no wonder nobody goes in there a lot around that times?! A lot pple work very hard/ late also want a excellent dinner & shakes & etc too with out the ( without manager there) poor late night customer service to go with it!!!
This place is AMAZING. I have NEVER been disappointed by the food here. I have a strong gluten intolerance and never been sick here, either. The food is consitent so you know what you will be getting each and every time you order it. I can vouch for the C1, D10, D11, F3, honeydew smoothie, and pork spring rolls. EVERYTHING is fresh. Their meats are tender, never stringy, never gristly, never fatty, and always flavorful. The staff is friendly but reserved–appropriately intrusive. THERE IS NO MINT IN THE FOOD! (You have NO idea how excited that makes me.) The savory is robust, the sweet is appropriately non-sugar cube, the right veggies are crisp and the other veggies are sauted, it’s filling, it’s satisfying, and I am going to miss it hardcore when I go to law school. No, that’s a lie. I’ll still figure out a way to get here once a week.
Authentic Pho. I was very impressed by the rare beef pho that I had today at lunch. I mentioned to my server that the broth was delicious, and she said her grandmother cooks it for 3 days so that it is really beefy and flavorful! At other Vietnamese/Asian restaurants, I have had watery, bland broth, so this was KEY to the dish. The noodles and beef were good, and the bean sprouts, Thai basil, cilantro, jalapeo, and lime were all fresh additions to the hot soup. I also had the Vietnamese spring rolls, which were quite good, too. My whole lunch, including tax and tip, came to about $13.
I had the duck soup, it was amazing…
Great springrolls indeed.
