Great selection and very tasty food. The Mexican skillet was amazing, and the pumpkin spice coffee was top notch. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a good breakfast/brunch in Uptown.

Great for the whole family!. After staying the night in Albuquerque with the whole family (from Grandpa down to my 10 yr. old) we decided to try The Egg and I after reading other reviews. It was fantastic! The menu was large and had something to appeal to everyone, including the children. The service was great and everyone was super friendly. I would definitely make this a must-stop again next time we are through this area!
I love this place has healthy and yummy options my mom doesn’t really like it, she likes tradition Mexican breakfasts or shredded hasbrowns that are slightly over cooked which this place is more traditional country breakfast with country style potatoes but she loves the coffee best coffee in Albuquerque
I dont get how this place is still open…after a few years of being open you think one would be able to get a plate before a 35-45 minute wait. The staff is negligent to new guests and sit there chatting with eachother in the back booths. The owner obviously doesnt know a thing about running a restaurant. Yes its good homey food, but when it’s made wrong ALL the time it then to me is not homey or comfort food. I would rather support a local breakfast place that truly survives on the patrons they serve. Opposed to an owner who was born with a SILVER SPOON around her neck.she doesnt seem to care about the guests who come in. THIS IS A HORRIBLE PLACE TO EAT AND IS NOT VERY HOMEY….YOU GIVE A BAD NAME FOR ALL THE OTHER Eggs and I. SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL BREAKFST PLACES DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!!
This past vacation. As I just came back from vacation I had the pleasure of eating out quite often, breakfast took place primarily at the egg and I. While I was in Albuquerque I noticed an Egg so I decided to try it and the food was well worth it, I have eaten at quite a few breakfast restaurants and this is one that definitely has it together. The food is great and the staff is very helpful but not overly helpful like at some restaurants. To anyone who is going to or lives in Albuquerque that hasnt the tried the Egg and I I highly recommend it.
THE WORST!. The service here SUCKS! We have tried it three times….always willing to give a place another try. ALL three times, the orders have been messed up. Never an apology. No service recovery. The server’s each time could have cared less that THEY messed it up. Manager could have cared less that we had issues. 30 minutes for our order to show up….come on, TOO LONG.WORST PLACE IN ALBUQUERQUE! Don’t go there! favorite
