Lauren. Weck’s is okay if you like oversized portions high in fat and sodium and crowded, noisy dining areas.
Charged for garnish. I asked for garnish of just lettuce and onion, and was charged extra. I have never in my life dinned in a restaurant that charged extra for garnish. And the odd thing is, that as I got up to leave, I was given a plastic cup straw and lid to take out the left over tea. I had ordered the breakfast burrito, and found the eggs to be over cooked and rubbery the red chili was watery and was tasteless. My partner had a hamburger which looked great, he gave me some of his lettuce and onion, but he did say they were stingy with the mustard. I also found them to be stingy with the cheese. Overall as far as dinning there again. I might give them one more chance.
Breakfast. Love the thick, toasted bread, everything else is simply average…Do not understand concept of one person seating you, another taking the order, then different person brings the food & then you pay a cashier. Also, do I have to have a conversation with every person who works at Wecks. While reading paper or having conversation with breakfast partner only to be interupted with someone asking how I am doing…really???
Stopped in for coffee while waiting for news on sick dog. Service was fantastic, gentle and caring. My server Francine bought my coffee, our pets had similar afflictions. Wonderful atmosphere and friendly people. Thank you.
