Worst customer service!!! telling me im preg when im not. Worst customer service . Paid 104.00 for two . Just wanting to enjoy my lunch. And waiter assumed I was pregnant. Even wrote on my check good luck with the baby. I weigh114 lbs I was so insulted it made me not want to eat but I didn’t want to ruin it for my friend. I will never be back unless I get an apology. What a waste of money that was not the experience I wanted . And will worn my clients now that vday is coming up they may insult there date when their there.
Sauce for entre. I feel gouged as if your prices aren’t enough you slip in a charge more per person for the sauce to cook the entre . When i ask if we didn’t order the sauce i was told we could have the entree. Took away the joy of the occasion. Oh i don’t know something about being cheated leaves one feeling lacking. That is what this is lacking.
The melting pot is like visiting the third circle of hell. We sat at our steaming hot, crowded, loud table for a half an hour before our order was taken. There was barely enough space on the table to juggle our plates of raw meat (pretty gross after a while) without knocking multiple utensils on the floor and getting covered with grease and cheese. We hardly saw our server, and eventually had to beg someone to find him so we could get the check and drag our bloated, filthy, over-heated selves into some fresh air. Paying over $100 (without dessert) to be essentially tortured with bad food, crappy chain-style atmosphere, and terrible service is not a trial I will likely submit myself to again. Save yourself a hundred bucks and pour cheese all over yourself in a sauna – it’s basically the same brutal experience as dining at the melting pot, without being robbed.
Our waiter was Armando. We made reservations a requested the love lane table are. When making my reservation I let them know it was our anniversary. They made it extra nice we had a card waiting at our table. The private booths were nice and comfy. Our waiter also knew it was our anniversary and was extremely knowledgeable. it was our first time and I was skeptical because of all the negative reviews on here. But our experience was amazing. And Armando made it an amazing night for us. Its a must try at least once.
Overrated….over priced….over staffed…under serviced…under decorated…mediocre food….5 star price….
Second chance… I came here on Christmas of last year and was bummed out by the table we were sat at. It was in a florescent lit room with rows of booths and I longed for the old location where there was more privacy from the conversations of the tables around us. With that said, I was weary of coming back ever again until last week when my sister and I were craving some cheese fondue. I called to make reservations for that evening and asked for a table that was more private than the one we had over Christmas. They delivered. This time around, we were sat in a room that was still large and had it been busy, I would likely have still been bummed out by the lack of privacy but it was a Sunday night and it wasn’t busy. Our server was great. He was friendly and willing to spend time chatting it up with us, which I enjoy. Servers are people and are often some of the most interesting so I like getting the opportunity to talk to them between courses. As for the food, it was delicious as always. We ordered all 4 courses and had a wonderfully relaxing meal. I just dont feel comfortable saying I really like this place when I know that florescent room with a denny’s style setup of booths is lurking nearby. My best suggestion when making a reservation is always to ask not to be in that room. It’s just soooo bad.14 Feb, 2012Never Again.. This review is a little past-due, but I’m doing it because the Melting Pot will not have the opportunity to get a review from me in the future again, because I will never return. The new location is absolutely horrendous. I brought my family there for Christmas dinner and we were sat in a long hallway-like dining area that was full with other tables. There was no privacy and the table across from us was seated right before us and had the same server, so she would just bring out one big tray for all of us and put it in the middle of the isle. The lighting was too bright, there was no music playing, and I spent my evening listening to a customer at one of the other 6 tables around me taste 8 different wines before finally settling on one. The food.. Who knows. Nothing that outstanding, because all I could think about after my meal was how absolutely terrible the new location is. I REFUSE to pay $150 to eat in a cramped denny’s-style room and listen to all the patrons conversations going on around me. Too bad too, because at the old location, I was there quite regularly, but you’ve lost my business FOREVER!
I was skeptical after reading all the previous reviews. However, my experience was wonderful. Our server Amanda Lee was attentive a was the the other servers that were helping. Out drinks never went dry. The food was delicious and the instruction were spot on, being that it was my first time.
