Horrible service 3 hours for delivery within 7 blocks
Wow, what a true blessing to live next to this beautifuly delicious establishment. The closest thing to remind me of my Mom’s cooking. With there wide array of daily prepared selections and special orders this place always provides superb quality. No offense For you yuppies moving in to the neighborhood saving a buck here is guaranteed. Weather baked, fried, or steamed Alex’s has got you covered. Thanks, we love you guys. Best Spanish food in all Ridgewood and bushwick. They also cater to LaGuardia and Kennedy airports. Who does that? Lol Highly recommended.
The food is authentic Dominican food . This my spot when I’m missing home food . Prices are low too . It would be nicer if there was room for seating .
Solid Dominican Fare in Bushwick. Alex Luncheonette is a newly refurbished counter service restaurant that does an extensive takeout business. The steam table display is impressive with many typical Spanish Caribbean comestibles on display. The stewed pork ribs, chicharron de pollo (fried chicken chunks with bones), and berenjena guisado (stewed eggplant) are recommended selections. I also urge you to purchase some empanadas de res and a few quipes. These are among the best to be had in New York. Buen provecho!
Absolutely everything here tastes like awesome homemade Latin food. I have a family full of good Dominican cooks to compare. The best food in Bushwick hands down. The prices ate beyond reasonable and the selection of food ready to go is incomparable. If they had a formal dining area, I would bring dates here but I do the takeout thing on a regular basis.
