Being someone who lived in a predominately Spanish neighborhood, La Isla was a slice of the homeland for me. I am very picky on Spanish Food since I cook a lot of it for my family, but when I want to delegate that duty to a store, La Isla is my first choice. The pernil there is some of the best I ever had, the pork chops are thick, crisp, and juicy on the inside. If I was pressed to order one thing, I would get their barbecue rubs. There is something about that sauce that just makes them perfect. Everything else is serviceable. They also have naturally made drinks like lemonade that are just the perfect compliment to all that delicious Spanish food. They only take cash, so be ready with them bills! The price are really good for the amount of food you get. A nice portion will cost you about 7 dollars, so you can get a kings ransom for under 20 dollars. The reviews do not do this place justice.
