Not sure what the hype is about. Very standard breakfast food at a reasonable price (cash only). My boyfriend and I got egg dishes which were very normal. Good not great. Why the long line outside? Maybe the area needs more options. Maybe the pancakes are the reason people wait? Beats me.
Amazing. Service is impeccable. Crab cakes florentine was awesome with jot suace. Also had Belgian waffles, with cinnamon butter, these people know what there doing, no joke.
Don’t get what all the fuss is about. I honestly don’t get what all the fuss is about. This is an average diner at best. Their food is not amazing and in some cases has been pretty bland and it is completely overpriced (I ordered two egg sandwiches and a side of homefries and it cost me $15!). I agree with many of the reviews that their service is warm and very welcoming but the interior is kind of ugly and the fact that there are lines around the block absolutely confounds me… it is really just an average diner and certainly not worth a long wait.

Can’t go wrong with Tom’s. I’ve driven by this place multiple times and wondered, the food can’t be that good to justify that many people waiting! Trust me it is! We ventured into this diner that was packed, however, we were seated in less than one minute. Within seconds we were asked if we wanted coffee and we were treated to homey coffee in a pseudo trailer home sun room living room. i loved it! The waiters were on the ball. We ordered the Eggs Benedict and the Crab cake hollandaise. The crab cake hollandaise was light and not greasy and the hollandaise didn’t separate. The spinach topping was impressive. I ordered a side of grits, and to my surprise they were not only edible, they tasted great! A plus in my book and great departure from the barely cooked unsalted grainy grits. This is a must for families, and the management makes it worth the trip!
If you like hot breakfast and warm hugs…. … this is the brunch for you. Waiting in line is almost the best part, as they bring you coffee, little bits of sausage drizzled with lemon juice, cookies, strawberries and whipped cream, cinnamon toast… what more could you ask for? A hug before brunch? Ok, fine. Gus will give it to you.The portions are HUGE, so come hungry. Whatever you do, order something that you can smear one of three daily flavored butters on (their waffles come highly recommended). Tom’s is not for the health conscious, but is so delicious, you probably won’t even think about it.
