Ken&irene Beilman. First visit to Bertha’s….won’t be our last! First the service ways great! Had buttermilk cakes that were so big we couldn’t finish them in one sitting at least ! Home fries were cooked to perfection as were the eggs! Would recommend to anyone who needed a great start to any day!
Asked to leave!. Had breakfast on a recent Saturday. Our group of 4 was asked to leave after we were lingering over our coffee because another group was waiting for our table! Can you believe it! We will not be back!
This was the worst breakfast place I have ever been to. I didn’t think it was possible to mess up pancakes and bacon but they found a way! They were very nice but my friend and I could not even eat our meals. The bacon tasted like chemicals. I’ve never had the lunch but definitely skip this place for breakfast! We paid twenty dollars for pancakes and bacon that were inedible!
I was in from out of town and was excited to find out about the hype @ Berthas – I should have gone elsewhere! My eggs were not cooked properly , Pea Meal Bacon was thin dry and overlooked . Tomatoes mushy and tasteless.The toast was even awful . Service slow and waitress did not have command of tables . I sent food back and was not interested nor hungry for anything else . Go somewhere else in Buffalo so many better options out there .
Great little place. Fantastic food and very friendly service. I plan on being a regular. The only drawback was the size of the place – kind of a tight squeeze.
Disappointed Canadian Tourist. I went here with my mom, sister and two friends a couple of weeks ago on the Sunday morning of our shopping trip. OK atmosphere, mediocre food, TERRIBLE service. They messed up my sister’s and my friend’s orders. My sister ordered a vegetarian omelet and a fruit bowl, and they brought it with Canadian bacon and homefries… And my friend ordered extra homefries and they never came, yet we were still charged for them. I ordered banana pancakes which weren’t that great, seeing as I only had one or two banana slices in total. Not worth going out of your way for this place. I will not return.
Not a fan. Rude staff. Greasy food.Why would a place charge more if you brought your own bread instead of their crap?
