Had a quart of wonton, quart of pork fried rice and a quart of house special lo mien. All really good. Been going to North and Elmwood for years to Chinese Kitchen up until recently when I discovered the Wall. Sadly Chinese Kitchen has reduced their quality for some time now. I like the Wall and it wasn’t at all (overly) dirty. All these take-out china joints seem to be a little worn. This one isn’t bad. They’re very nice people, too. Hope this helps : )
Filthy. Even for a Chinese restaurant, this place is filthy, inside and out. The food is good, if you are a drunk college kid. Go a little further down Elmood to Tokyo Shanghai Bistro, it’s much better!
Skimpy Portions. Used to go here all the time for Chinese. Prices were affordable and it was decent Chinese food always made fast. The past few times I have went the portions have gotten much smaller and meals are tasteless. The chicken and mixed vegetables entree had 4 vegetables on it and maybe 6 pieces of chicken. The eggroll was burnt. Will be going down the street to Tokyo Shanghai instead.
It’s only Chinese food. My boyfriend and I have been ordering from Great Wall for years. Some days the rice is a little over done or you can tell the General Tsos chicken was cooked a little longer but overall it’s always good. On busy nights the delivery service will take about 40 minutes but we have had them deliver as quick as 20 minutes. The food is always hot and tasty. I’ve been in Buffalo for 4 years and my boyfriend has been here for 11. This is the only Chinese food restaurant we order from.
Absolutely disgusted. I ordered a delivery at my job and the delivery guy came down to my office CURSING loudly at me for no reason. I have never felt so disrespected. I will NEVER order from here again and I recommend you don’t either. I didn’t pay money to get disrespected publicly at my place of work. HORRIBLE WORKERS!!!!
Formerly loyal customer. For the last four years, I have been a huge fan of Great Wall and had only good things to say about them. Sure, there were times when the food tasted better/worst than I’d had in the past (a bit inconsistent, if you will). But, I knew I could rely on them for speedy service. However, today I placed an order and was told it would take 30-40 minutes. Once it had been over an hour, I called in and asked to cancel my order, since I had to head off to work and couldn’t afford to wait any longer. I called, spoke to two different people, only to have the woman on the line hang up with me because she didn’t like the fact that I was canceling. For so-so Chinese food, I’m not willing to wait that long & deal with rude customer service. My recommendation for Great Wall has been officially rescinded. I won’t be eating there anymore.
