Good entertainment and atmosphere but terrible food. Went for restaurant week so, we had a variety. Greasy or bland seemed to be the theme. Didn’t hang around for the dessert. Like I said its a great place to drink but, I don’t recommend the food.
Exceeded Our Expectations!. Barbara & I went to see the Poetry Slam last night, and decided to order food even though the restaurant was not highly rated on this site. What a surprise! The food was great! We shared a Banh Mi Poutinne with very tasty pork, an order of delicious Tzatziki with perfectly broiled? pita. And dessert…fantastic Papanasi. We’re going back!
I guess costumers work the door. Went to the gypsy parlor last night and was having an alright time besides the overly priced drinks for the area until I was outside smoking a cigarette and a fight between two people started so I tried to assist in pulling them apart since the doorman was no where to be found. By the time he actually showed up the two guys had been separated and the one who started the fight got let back in while me and everyone else who helped to actually stop the fight got kicked out. Worst bar experience ever, kick out the people who stopped the fight and let the instigator back in to probably start another fight.
Better Than Ever,Ready For Summer!!!!. – Another good time -On theew Oudoor Patio the last few visits, which is a great place to be after that winter. …with the lace curtains billowing gently ,it felt really cozy!The new menu is out and loaded with fun new food- more Vegetarian-and the Fish Fry is awesome… definitley hold its own and then some in a Fish Fry critical town! Sampled a new Specialty Drink- from the new menu- Sex on the Street,- very refreshing and light, and my buddy enjoyed the homemade Basil Lemonade with local Vodka!Lamb Samosas with deliciuos mint dipping sauce were packed with Lamb- and we enjoyed mellow Parisian tango music in the background as Tango and Tango lessons were in full swing,! It was fun to watch, so gracefull, maybe next time….( every other Sunday)There were specials along with the new menu :: Moroccan Chicken Tajine, Tempura Battered Portobello and Arugula Salad, and Black Bean Burger!I tried the Moroccan special w chicken and olives in turmeric based yummy broth and cous cous served in an enormuos bowl…make sure to ask for grilled bread for that broth! (just finishe it for lunch!) and the Black Sheep Burger with the beet slaw has become a family favorite, and was as good as always!No room for dessert this time- but Its walking distance and Im sure we will be back soon…maybe to Tango? :)Service as usual was friendly and attentive.Im really enjoying watching this neighborhood place grow…somthing to do every night, and never a dull moment ! 🙂

I was never able to actually enter this establishment due to their obvious sorting method at the entrance. It saddens me that in such a culturally diverse neighborhood there is still such blatant racism present.
NOT ACCESSIBLE!!!. This restaurant is new and it’s not accessible. Come on people its 2013, lets make places enjoyable for EVERYONE! This restaurant is completely capable of making the place handicap accessible but it seems that it has not yet done so. I hope to see this change soon!
