They have great bahn mi, but they are very incompetent and untimely. Took 40 minutes for them to make 4 sandwiches, we were told 15 minutes. Arrived 5 minutes early for the 15 we were told, waited 25 minutes inside because our order hadn’t even been started. Outrageous wait and they didn’t even apologize for the wait. Don’t know if I’ll order again
Spend Your Dollars Here!. Have been going here a ton since it opened. Cheap and close to home and still good when you do take out. Pho is very large and filling especially if you get one with a ton of different meats. They also give you a plate of garnishes such as basil, bean sprouts, limes and jalapenos for your pho. The beef is tender and not fatty. The broth has hints of different flavors and spices I could eat it alone! Shockingly the chicken wings are very good and like the sauce they are covered in. Sometimes the bahn mi doesn’t have enough filling and mainly roll but this has been only one or two times. Pork is never chewy and neither are the wings. The spring rolls are fresh and come with the peanut sauce. The Vietnamese pancake seems to be the best when it comes out hot. Noticed no one seems to ever sit at the bar even though it is fully stocked. Twice had warm beer that came out of the fridge.
Favorite pho. I have yet to have a bad meal at pho dollar, gone with large and small groups and it never fails
Pho Dollar is the one to beat.. Lots of great Vietnamese food in Buffalo. But this restaurant is king of the hill right now. THIS is the real deal Vietnamese food. The food is EXCELLENT. Try it. You will look at the new menu and see the selections and without even tasting the food you will just know that you found the right spot. When you order and taste the food, you will know that they are the one to beat for this type of food.
The new Pho King of Buffalo. Ever since Pho 99 changed ownership I have been in search of the new Pho king of Buffalo. And I have found the new Pho promised land! Great prices and food. Also in a great diverse neighborhood.
We normally go to Toronto for great Vietnamese, so it was such a pleasant surprise to go to this excellent little restaurant. Extremely fresh, beautifully prepared food. Very much looking forward to going back and trying another wonderful dish.
Visited yesterday with poor results. Ordered beef noodle soup, after scouring the menu for something simple, and received a dish riddled with tripe. There was no indication of this dish containing tripe on the description on the menu, and when I ordered something different I was charged for both dishes. Service was not very accommodating, but did offer a 15% discount. They mentioned if it wasn’t what I ordered I should have sent it back sooner, but the waitress never came back to check on things. Won’t be revisiting.
