Great Food.. We usually hit here for lunch. Yesterday was quiet, they had just opened. Had a fantastic Reuben, and the wife had wings, which are some of the best in Buffalo. Yes, it gets loud later in the day. God help you on Game day. Yes, I have opened the door to have dinner, and left. It’s a bar. It’s close to home, the food is always good, the service equally decent, the price inexpensive. I’m glad it’s close to home.
The spinach dip is the best I ever had! I love spin dip and now I will only go here for it. My husband loves the smitty style wings, and he is very very particular about his wings, so that is a huge complement to potters field.
Great service and concept, visiting patrons were local and very welcoming, food: soup banana pepper mozz cream soup was exceptional, 8th hole steak sandwich, very tender but not sliced, good flavor. Reuben -taste like every other reuben, nothing significant. Fries were fresh cut and not too crispy. Overall good food. Desert Bailey’s and coffee presentation was awesome, topped with whipcream.
Might try again.. I’ve been to this restaurant often, really good food, good prices. However, stopped for dinner on a Saturday night a few weeks ago around 6:30 pm. Sat at the table for almost 15 minutes – no one offered drinks, menus, or even recognized that we were there. Got up and left, gave your dinner money to someone else, but I would rather patronize local establishment. Their loss, might try again.
Matt F.. The food was very good. The building is not very large, but the music was loud enough for a place twice the size. If you don’t mind hearing the conversation at the table behind you because they have to talk so loud, it is the place for you. I don’t mind hearing music, but if it is going to be at that volume, take out the tables and put in a dance floor.
Fish Fry – Yum!. We were sent to the Potter’s Field by our hotel a couple of Friday’s ago. We ordered the beer battered fish fry special and LOVED it!!! The portions are gianormous! The piece of fish covered 3/4 of the plate (actually hanging off the edges!). It was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant for the Friday fish fry & we look forward to trying some of their other entrees in the future.
Great neighborhood restaurant. The menu has all of the standard bar-foods plus some gourmet items all at reasonable prices. Both Angela and I like it!
