A bit pricey but worth it!. I am a big fan of cured meats and fancy cheeses and I have had none better locally than here. You can see what you are paying for from the first bite. The paninis are also excellent. Wine is served in a juice glass which is really old school and charming. Owner is very serious, try not to mistake it for unfriendly. Also very good coffee and tiramisu.
Terrible service and food. Staff was not friendly. Food wasn’t hot.
Terrific New Place in North Buffalo. If you like good wines, craft beers and Italian meats and cheeses, this is your place. Very high quality stuff- I had a prosciutto panini and it was outstanding. Very nice atmosphere and outdoor seating. It’s a block from North Park Theater, so it’s a good place to go before or after.
Real Italian Delicacies and New York State Craft Beers in North Buffalo!. This is a great little slice of Italy in the heart of North Buffalo! I finally got a chance to check this place out this afternoon and was very impressed. We talked to Michael, the owner, and he said that the place is named after the village in Sicily his family comes from- Montemaggiore Belsito. Lots of Italian-Americans in Buffalo have roots in this place. You can see some photos of Montemaggiore on the walls. We sat outside and ordered the taste of Italy plate, which has Genoa, Napoli, and Siciliano salamis plus Parmigiana-Reggiano, Fontina, and Mozzarella cheeses, plus some pizza (just sauce and parm, no cheese), a caprese salad, and a bottle of wine. Everything, including the bread was fresh and outstanding. The meats and cheeses are super high quality stuff imported from Italy. We had a bottle of Rose from Calabria that was crisp, delicious and well priced at $25. We didn’t try the paninnis but they looked damn good. They specialize in craft beers from New York State- next time I’m going to sample a few. The decor of Belsito is clean and modern and the hosts seem like delightful people and an asset to the neighborhood. If you try it, and you should, check out the 1932 Buffalo city directory they have at the bar- very interesting. We’ll be going back again soon- they have nice TV’s inside and the sign said they will be showing all the World Cup matches.
Sandwich was very tasty and fresh, soup was delicious, service friendly.
