Stopped in for lunch. Had the turkey burger and enjoyed it. A decent burger place.
A Little Disappointed. We had lunch recently at Soho Burger Bar. The service was friendly but very slow. My wife ordered a chopped salad which she thought was good. I had the burger which was adequate but overcooked. I also had sweet potato fries which were very good. We left feeling somewhat neutral about the restaurant.
OK meal could be better. Jay has done a decent job turning a has been night club into a restaurant but they needs work. Bar area looks the same but a few added tables and a large DJ booth in the back center of the room. Had dinner reservations on a week night and staff wrote down the wrong time. We are lucky there were still tables left. The waitress was no where to be found after we sat down and got waters and didn’t come back for at least 15 minutes to take our order. The place wasn’t full so we don’t know where she kept going. My soup came out 10 minutes after my friends salad when I wanted it to start with my meal. It was a little pricy $6 but the bowl was big. Ordered the cheeseburger cobb salad. The burger was cold and over cooked and there was barely any dressing on the salad. My friend built her own burger and liked it. We both got the shoe string fries. Hers was a side and came out in a tiny fryer basket and mine came in a cone. Those were probably the best part of the meal. Maybe it was an off night but will give it another chance to try some of their specialty burgers.
Descent food. I went here last week with a co-worker to grab a burger and beer. It took awhile to get a server but they made up for it by covering our beers. The kitchen was a little on the slow side and the chips were soggy but the burgers were excellent. Would go back but will order fries instead of chips.
Best Dinner in a long time. My wife and I had tickets to a show at Shae’s and found Soho on this site and decided to give it a try. We called ahead for reservations and had to change them due to traffic that we ran into coming from Rochester. When we arrived they checked on the status of our table. Since a table was not ready, Ray the owner, gave us both a free drink. This made a great first impression. We were seated very quickly to our table and ordered our food. I had the ahi tuna burger and my wife had the Gold Standard burger. Both burgers were excellent. The Gold standard burger was one of the best burgers that I have tasted! The meat had great flavor and the toppings set the burger off. We also had the sweat potato fries and ice cream sandwiches. Ray checked on us again during the meal and offered another drink on the house. The customer service from Ray and his staff was top notch. I would recommend this place, and have, to anyone who is planning to eat in this area of Buffalo.
