This was the first Indian restaurants I tried in Buffalo. Since then I have tried most other Indian restaurants but I would definitely recommend this place as the first choice for people who want to try good Indian food in Buffalo.
Me and my wife have been going to this restaurant since they opened. I love their lamb Biryani and wife loves Fish Xacutti. I’m writing this review only because of our past experiences and how we ended our visit to this place. My wife and I are blessed with a beautiful baby girl and we decided to go in for lunch with our families visiting from out of town. So we went for lunch after church. The server was not just rude but we just didn’t feel very welcomed at all. End of the meal we were charged gratuity and didn’t inform us. I did end up tipping the server 20% because the 2 bussers were working hard. With his attitude and the experience we had, we shouldn’t have been charged. I didn’t notice this until We paid the bill and went home and my wife and I were discussing the experience. I stopped by later that week and asked a waiter how much it is per person and also I wanted to talk to the owner about our experience. The waiter took down my information and said the owner will get back. I didn’t receive a call from him. I picked up a take out order one last time from that place and did mention the waiter about my experience and if the owner doesn’t call me back about this, we will avoid going to the restaurant. Surprisingly no word from the owner. I am only writing this review because we do need to support businesses that really take good care of their customers and not just the food. We really loved the India Star (service and food) and The new Jewel of India (food so far). If anyone reading this review wants to experience something better then try other places too.
Best Indian in Buffalo! Been here a couple times and the food is phenomenal. Fresh ingredients, colorful presentation, and quality food prepared by a skillful kitchen staff. The dining room is spacious and clean. Service has always been excellent, very friendly and knowledgeable servers. The menu is great and there’s many choices of naan. Overall Taj Grill is an excellent value for dining out. Highly recommend.
I’m going there for their lunch buffet formula. It is pretty cheap and always very tasty.Due to the poor competition, this is the best Indian in town.
Excellent food!. Taj Grill catered a lunch where I work. They had taken the time to ask our preferences, and included two additional main dishes at no cost. The food arrived hot, and was incrdible, especially the biryani. Definitely must try the restaurant!13 Aug, 2014Best Catered Luncheon!. Best restaurant and Outstanding Service. We have attended countless parties catered by Taj Grill and are the regular customers. I have to admit that its food and the service are outstanding. One can die for the taste of Chicken Xcutti and Chicken Tikka Masala! We attended its recent catering on 08/09 at GrandIsland and the experience was superb! Everything was prepared fresh and the naans were served right out of the clay oven. Great job TajGrill staff. Keep it up!Best,
Clean and Friendly. I have only had Indian food a few times, but decided to try the buffet here for lunch on a Friday afternoon. I found the staff to be courteous and the restaurant to be clean. I enjoyed the butter chicken the most. If I was in the mood for Indian food again, I wouldn’t hesitate to return here.
