Worst Pad Thai I’ve ever had and terrible customer service. I ordered take out Pad Thai from this place, and it was absolutely terrible. The ‘peanut sauce’ was syrupy and sweet, and there was way too much of it. It was barely edible. It tasted like it came from a packet. I’ve had Pad Thai at many restaurants over the years and this was by far the worst. My friends who tried it agreed. I brought back a half full container and was asked if I’d like to order something else- I chose another menu item of the same price expecting it to be compensation for my complaints about the terrible Pad Thai.I was told to pick the food up in ten minutes. I left, and when I returned, I was shocked to find out that I was being charged for my ‘replacement’ order. Apparently because the pad Thai was not returned full, my second order was not complimentary. I expressed my frustration that I had not been initially informed of this and had had to come all the way back to the restaurant (this being my 4th trip in total) to pick up my order, only to find out I was being charged. The hostess told me that her manager was ‘too busy’ to talk to me, despite the restaurant being practically empty.Having worked in any restaurants, I was appalled by how unprofessional and discourteous the customer service was. I have never heard of a manager refusing to speak with an upset customer, and frankly I find it to be the mark of a disorganized and dishonest business place.
Great food…But…No Booze!.. The food, the atmosphere, the service is all top notch. Taste of Siam is definitely in the top 3 Thai restaurants in the city.If you’re looking for a glass of wine or beer with dinner though, you’re going to be disappointed. The restaurant hasn’t received their liquor license yet, and most likely wont have it till the end of the year. I think they’ve lost a lot of business because of this..like I said…the food is great, but I hope u like Pepsi.
Cannot wait for Saigon to Open. After learning Saigon Cafe was not open and reading the reviews for this restaurant , I had really high hopes for this meal. I ordered Tom Yum soup, red curry, lemongrass curry, and summer rolls. Everything was lacking flavor. There was absolutely no difference between the two curries . there was also only three small shreds of chicken in each main dish, which is so ridiculous especially considering the price! A very expensive disappointment.
Amazing food and quick, friendly service. The green curry and cashew stirfry with basil sauce were so, so delicious. And Mimi and Jahida are awesome!!
Provisional Pending Talk W Manager I miss Saigon Cafe ;(. DISSAPOINTED This is a provisional review pending a discussion with someone named Bobby who was not available . There was an issue with the Gahng Keo Wan- green curry- FEATURING Fresh BASIL and Thai Eggplant-…the Basil was scant-not what I expected having had had other green currys in Buffalo and many other elsewheres…in many other postcodes The THAI EGGPLANT was nowhereto be seen..there was none in the kitchen,….none on my plate…. no ThAI EGGPLANT in the House…. Our delightful and professional server was not aware of this,If I had been made aware of this I would have ordered differently.I was not enamored of the broccili substitute- I cant eat BroccoliThis was embarassing to me , as I was dining with Mom -who was interested in trying new and different dishes… Which I reccomended and ordered .We were eating several dishes , and I was not aware of the UN EGGPLANT+BROCCOLI situation right away-.It wasnt handeled properly from the beginning– Maybe I/We were supposed tothinkBROCCOLIwas Eggplant?? The soups and apps were delicious-papaya salad refreshing and abundant the place was so pretty, server so knowledgable- AND THEN:Not informing a guest or guests that the item that was ordered was not available-and to not inform the server…and to send out a substitute without consulting said guests, and placing the server in the position of serving somthing else is pretty presumptious- presuming we wouldnt notice– and for now unforgiveable..Will we go back, will I take friends , Will Mom?? That remains to be seen.ps My son got the leftovers..we paid for it.!!!Stairs to enter, stairs to restrooms
Best thai in Buffalo. This is hands down the best thai in Buffalo, tasted Thai orchid, and Jasmine, but nothing beats taste of Siam!! So flavorful, and so fresh, great atmosphere, and they are always so friendly eager to meet your needs!!
Hands Down best Thai in town. Great spot for lunch as well. Good prices!
