Romantic Evening. Took my wife to the Ancora for a romantic diner, and we were more than satisfied. The atmosphere was perfect for a quite setting where we could hear each other talk without shouting. The food was like mama use to make, and the portions were good. The Bananas Foster Crepe was out of this world

Mixed Bag. Went there with friends. Service was decent. I had a Filet special which was good but one of my friends got the chicken francaise and was not at all happy with it, it was very dry and hard. The prices were a bit high but we had fun. So not a total loss.
Came here for a beer & crepe for evening snack/nightcap. 2 waiters for whole restaurant; took forever just to get my beer; nobody ever stopped to take my order. Apparently if you’re a single lady just looking to relax, don’t come here-you’ll just get pissed!
Tried to call several times over the course of 2 days and nobody answered the phone, I finally left a message with my name number and how many people I wanted to make a reservation for and was never called back. Very poor customer service from a restaurant that is only mediocre, I did not choose this restaurant, my friends did. I had eaten atAncora last year and the service was lousy.
Arrived at restaurant without reservations at 6:30pm. Asked if we could get a table, told no problem, waited, then told there’d be a long wait, so we opted for the bar which was empty. Ignored for 20 minutes, asked for drinks, waited 10 minutes, we asked for a menu, we asked for more drinks and asked to order apps, which arrived quickly. The food would’ve been good if not made quickly to get it out. Greasy crab app , potato Gorgonzola app was a oily mess. Horrible service ( but polite!). Customers shouldnt have to ask for service. Mediocre food. Will try someplace new next time.
It’s so so. The food is good, a little on the pricy side for what they offer and for the area. The last time I went there the shrimp was way over cooked but the lobster tail was delicious. The service could definitely be improved. It took 15 mins before our wine was even brought out and it was a Wednesday night… so it definitely was not busy. We ordered one of their tapas for an appetizer and after we were finished the waiter brought us our check, which would be fine and dandy but our main course had not been served yet lol but it was included on the check. Not really a big deal because after we told him our meals were brought out. Maybe the guy was new, who knows.
