Not good unless you want just the bread and butter. We have went here several times and have been disappointed every time. Needless to say we won’t be going back again. Riggies were horrible, utica greens had no taste, mushroom barley soup was a mushy pile of muck…. Bread and butter was good though, salad tastes good… That’s about it
Wished I Knew Utica Better. Pulled off the I-90 for gas and supper. We drove around Utica looking for something to eat and ended up at Babe’s. We had the nachos with beef chilli, the Chicken Riggies, a meatball sandwich and chicken wings. Overall, the chicken wings and nachos were the same chicken wings and nachos you can get at any tavern. The Chicken Riggie pasta was average as were the meatballs on the meatball sandwich. Babe’s is a large tavern style restaurant with average food that will fill a void but not necessarily have people coming back weekly or for miles to eat their food.

Babe’s Macaroni Grill & Bar was better years ago. Babe’s Macaroni Grill & Bar seems to be on a slippery downhill slope in terms of consistency and quality of food served when compared to years ago. For example, ordering a pizza from the wood fired brick oven resulted in the extremely gracious server bringing us a disc of cooked pizza dough that took up little more than half the size of the pizza pan. That was a disappointment. Babe’s does have appetizer specials, but the mediocre appetizer specials cannot possibly make up for the inconsistent quality of the food being served. Time to initiate some quality controls…
Babes macaroni grill and bar has a very nice and pleasant staff and plenty of variety on the menu. But he food really is sub-par. Dint get me wrong it’s edible, but justnot very good. It almost feels dirty in here.

It’s OK.. The kids love the macaroni and cheese here. The food I think is average. It seems the price has gone up since the last time I was there also. Probably no big surprise for most of us. Prices seem to be going up everywhere.
