  I have never written a negative review on a restaurant before but I was so mad at the way I was treated I thought others should know before going here. First off the waitress brought us the wrong drinks, which she apologized for and blamed it on being so busy. We then waited about an hour for our meals to arrive, I ordered the chicken and broccoli alfredo with no mushrooms, I received shrimp alfredo with mushrooms. The waitress apologized again and said someone else had received my meal and that they could make me a new one, since we had already waited an hour and had plans to go see a movie I told her to just forget about it and bring us the check. She returned with the bill for both dinners and said she was sorry there was nothing she could do? Seriously I couldn’t believe it, they were gonna charge me for the meal whether I got it or not. I have never been treated so poorly, I will NOT be returning.

  My experience at Bella Regina’s last night: I can count on one hand the times I have sent something back in a restaurant. I sent back a plate of chicken Marsala that was VERY salty. Marsala is one of my favorite dishes and I know it can run on the saltier side, but even my husband agreed it was too much. The waitress asked me if I wanted it remade or taken off the bill. My husband was more than halfway through his meal, so I opted to eat the fries and have the chicken taken off the bill. A few minutes later the host and the waitress came back WITH the same plate of Marsala and stated that the owner said no and insisted on making me something else, at this point it felt like a scene was being made on their part. I am a shy person and I was very uncomfortable. I am also allergic to bell peppers and ordered Marsala for this purpose as I tasted peppers in the sauce that came with the appetizer. The host continued to press me to make me something else. My husband was done with his meal and I just wanted out of the uncomfortable situation so I just agreed to pay for the uneaten meal and we left. Our meal was $85 and I did not even eat my $18 portion of it, I have never heard a restaurant refusing to credit you back for a meal that was not edible. Super disappointed in this place, it has a cute charming atmosphere and I love supporting local businesses but sadly I will not return to this place.

  Last night we tried Bella Regina for the first time. We did not have reservations and we’re told it would be a 1/2 hour. It was double that. All wine was $7. No matter the kind. We thought that was expensive. We ordered rice balls and those were good. 4 GIANT balls came on the plate. either they should b smaller or less of them. That alone filled us up. (2 adults 1 10 yr old) The salad was bag iceberg lettus mix. I ordered chicken Riggins and they were way way way too cheesy. And the plate was huge!!! Also maccaroni was pre made. Was we were siting at the bar we saw them taking cold rigatoni out of Rubbermaid bins. I also ordered a side of greens and all it was, was bag romaine saute with olive oil, bread crumbs on top. Terriable! My husband got veal marsala that sauce had cream and cheese in it too and was way too salty. He had a hard time eating it. My son had ravoloi. The red sauce was sour, but besides that it was fine. (Hard to mess up ravoli) We will not be going back here. So many other restaurants in utica area that are worthy of my money. And just because they give you an exorbant amount of food does not make it good!
