Disappointment. I was very disappointed with joeys restaurant on Mohawk st. I think I expected classic, tasty Italian utica food and I didn’t get it here. The sauce tasted old and was not cooked fresh. The chicken riggies didn’t even resemble classic utica chicken riggies. The sauce was watery and the chicken was chewy. Also, they have small drinking glasses and charge for refills. If you’re going to charge for refills you should offer bigger glasses. The staff was very friendly but I don’t recommend this restaurant.

Best restaurant in Utica. If you have one night in Utica and you want a taste of local food, this is it. Amazing Italian-American cuisine!! Riggies, fra D, antipasto, nightly specials, meatballs, hats – all top notch.
