I used to love going to Sal’s…and obviously if you’ve been there before you know the menu is really limited…you simply go there for the wings. It is with sadness to say they’ve switched from the big jumbo wings to the tiniest little things I’ve ever seen. On my visit this past week I was shocked to discover the change. When I asked the waitress, she informed me they made the switch over the summer. This is a huge mistake on the part of the owners. When you have a menu as small as they do, and you literally change (for the worse) the ONE thing most people go there for…then you need to get your head examined. You can get wings anywhere in WNY. The old wings are what made Sal’s special. Worth the trip. I hope management will come to their senses and make the switch back!
Nice Find. We were visiting from out of town. My Aunt had heard a DJ on a DC radio station raving about Sal’s so we decided to check it out. There’s not much to it. Local neighborhood bar (literally in the middle of a neighborhood) with a small bar and a handful of tables. The bar was full of locals but they didn’t seem to mind us strangers. Waitress was very friendly and personable. We ordered beers and some medium wings. They aren’t traditional Buffalo style but they were very good. They had a unique spicy sweetness. Very saucy yet still crispy. It was a very nice find.
I used to live right by Olmstead and Sal’s is a great place to get wings its not your traditional wing but its one of the best I’ve had.

By far my favorite establishment in Buffalo. The best wings, location, company, and Sals has Debbie. A unique spot hosts the best wings in Buffalo by far, this little hidden treasure will not disappoint you.
Cajun wings are the best. Menu is very tasty. Very cozy and pleasant to come here.
I have 35 years of buffalo chicken wing experience and nothing comes close to this place.
