The Italian village. Is it the same as with singing and dancing? Please send an email to [email protected] Tell me if Johnnie Dee is singing there. We were super customers @ the village on Wherle.thanks so much Maureen Johnson
Best Italian Food in WNY. The Balconi Family have perfected the way Italian Food should taste and and the presentaion is Excellent. I have traveled the US and have yet to find an establishment that takes pride in serving high quality, freash, made from scratch awesome tasting food. What adds to the ambience is the fact you are treated like family. You must come and experience a great evening of dining. Once you taste and experience the food and atmosphere, YOU WILL BE BACK.
GOOD FOOD – BAD WAITER. Had dinner on Friday – Food was very good and plentiful. Tall, male waiter was unfriendly, laughed at us for ordering a pizza as an appetizer and told us to hand him the dirty dishes. Ruined the mood.
Being from the area when this place opened up I figured I’d try it out. The atmosphere was nice but it stopped there. Our server was so so, the food took a long time to come out. I ordered chicken parm with spaghetti on the side. The chicken was terrible, I had more breading on it then chicken. The spaghetti was a little thick for my liking but not too bad. The biggest issue I had was the sauce, it was way too sweet I couldn’t even stomach it. Maybe this is the type of Italian other people like but being from Sicily this is not what I expected from this place. Oh well worth a try.
Needs time. They have many things to work out. I know they are new to the location but the restaurant has been in business for around 30 (?) years. This shouldn’t be hard for them. The service was decent. I could tell the girl had very little experience or maybe a behind a counter type of experience. I had to ask for water even though I ordered a nice glass of wine. The list is fantastic by the way both in variety and price. Not the usual case for a family Italian restaurant. The menu is extensive and wonderful but it took way too long to get our meals. My husband and I waited over an hour. The manager did stop and apologize. When we did get our food it was amazing and gigantic portions. I had manicotti and my husband had the braciole. Oh they also serve homemade rolls with a FANTASTIC dipping oil. We were brought a cannoli on the house. It was the best I have ever tasted. Nice and thick and creamy. For our long wait we were comped our meal. Nice gesture. The inside is beautiful. I just can’t tell what they are trying to be a nicer restaurant or a casual family restaurant like for example La Bella Sicilia. Will probably wait awhile to go back,
