Great idea, disappointing execution. We were SO looking forward to having brunch at Another Fork in the Road, and found the rustic, bustling atmosphere very welcoming. The waiter was friendly and the service prompt, even though the place was full of brunch patrons. Unfortunately, the food itself was hugely disappointing: the corned beef hash was dry and overdone to the point of being burned around the edges, the Israeli tomato and egg dish looked and tasted as if a can of tomato paste had been dumped on the plate, and–worst of all for a person raised in the South on light, flaky, buttery biscuits–this restaurant’s biscuits were dry, heavy, and tasteless! The idea of this restaurant is great; the execution, not so much.
Fresh and Unique. I’ve eaten here at least three times and the food was excellent. The menu is small but indicative that they strive to keep freshness and quality a top priority. The coffee was outstanding. The orange juice was fresh squeezed. The free range eggs were so fresh they tasted like they had been laid only hours before. The breakfast meat was fresh! If additives and preservatives are what you crave, look elsewhere!
