Started with Steamed Clams in a White Wine/Garlic sauce which was very tasty.The Broiled Seafood Platter, Scallops-Shrimp-Scrod, was very good, each was prepared perfectly and the Butter sauce was just the right complement.Zuppa De Pesce with White Wine and Garlic substituted for the Marinara sauce was very tasty.Overall the food was very good, the drawback is a very dated interior and a very time worn building.
Tuesday’s. We went on a Tuesday at about 7pm. the restaurant appeared stark and had no theme. The bar area was busy with state police having a function. I questioned the hostess about what was going on, she had no idea. I asked her did they have happy hour any day of the week. She did not know. I asked her if they have live music, she did not know. But she told me to ask any of they waiteress. At no time did she offer to find out for me. The service was ok and the food was average. It lacked warmth and dcor. The prices were average. We would have stayed longer if there had been maybe even a picture on the wall as a conversation piece. So bland, so stark, so boring.
I have no complaints. It’s a nice place.
Sunday Lunch. I rode with a different group today but with the same result. LUNCH on the road. I had a very nice pulled pork sandwich with fries and a cranberry and soda. The waitress was pleasant and attended to all our needs. Everyone commented on the excellant food and reasonable prices. We’ll be back with our usual crew.
