Best Bar in the Area. Tap & Table is the best bar in tHe Hudson Valley period. 30 beers on tap & the most talented mixologist I’ve ever seen. The decor is amazing, and prices are reasonable. Taps at 3 tables to pour your own beer, and everyone makes you feel right at home.
My girlfriend and I went to Elaine’s for the first time tonight for comedy night and it was awesome. We had some very good drinks and the standup was awesome. The food that was going past us looked amazing. The new menu looked great. Elaine’s has made major chances for the better and this is only the start of a wonderful new restarunt. Can’t wait to go back.
Just went to this horrible place for the first and last time tonight. I used to eat here a lot when it was gentleman Jim’s. but this new place is just bad. I had the tap and table burger which tasted like breakfast sausage and had a few chewy things mixed in. It ended up in he trash. But I did scrap off he Swiss cheese and eat that. Kinda hard to mess cheese up. The roll was ok but it was soaked in the tons of grease from the burger. My wife even asked me if I thought it was real meat after she tasted it. Lol. Anyway it looks to me that they took a good thing like gentleman Jim’s and killed it.
Disappointing Experience. Went to Elaine’s the other day… the food was disappointing. Very high prices with a poor selection. Tried the mushrooms with carmelized onions, and couldn’t eat more than a couple bites. The buffalo mac and cheese tasted terrible. The quality of the service did not match the price of the food – the service was the type one may expect at a diner, not at a place that is trying to be a high-end restaurant. The atmosphere is nice, and the taps at the bar tables add an interesting element, but there is nothing on the menu that would make me want to come back.
