What’s the Beef?. With all due respect to a recent reviewer, evidently from an area for which we have great affection, Adrian’s of Grand Island, NY, is A-OK with us. Roast beef sandwiches we have purchased there for friends have earned us their undying admiration and quality has in no way receded. Further, the service is outstanding. Full disclosure: Down through the years, right up to this moment, we have come to know the proprietor, but only through the continued excellence of the product. So far as we’re concerned, it is a dark day when Adrian’s finally calls it a season in the fall, and it’s re-opening is a signal that we have passed another winter. We recommend it in every regard.
Awesome!. Today, 9/2/12, we purchased lunch to go from Adrian’s. After seeing the previous review from 2 days ago, I was a little concerned. Well, I’m thinking we ate lunch at two different restaurants. We got a variety of roast beef sandwiches and every one of the 4 was well worth the price. The sweet potato fries were still warm when we got home. Wonderful lunch!
Great Place for a quick burger, dog or the pulled pork which is outstanding. Reasonably fast for fresh cooked food or for ice cream.
I know the people who started adrians and I feel the roast beef is not as good it used to be when they owned but I still go there often for ice cream and the occassional roast beef and fries. It also is getting pricey and you probably couldn’t go there every day for lunch.
The Heart of Grand Island. Only open from spring to autumn. Once they are open this is a wonderful place for something not only fast, but good quality. A tad pricey compared to similar places, but always worth it.Added a year or so ago to the menu is the Jalapeno Hot Dog… one of my favs. Other specialties include great roast beef and ice cream. Monday-Friday they have lunch specials worth checking out. Tuesday is the Jalapeno Dog special.EDIT!!! (Aug 8, 2010):My other recommended treats: try their roast beef if I did not mention it already and their BBQ beef is outstanding as well. When it comes down to something a little more chilly, their chocolate malt is awesome and you can only top awesome with their banana split, which I describe as magical. Adrian’s also carries a mother load of Perry’s Ice Cream flavors to select from for ice cream purist. Adrian’s is what summer is all about on Grand Island if you are in the area.EDIT!!!! (April 12, 2011)New to the menu is the Angus Swiss and Mushroom burger and also the Angus Jalapeo, Pepperjack and Bacon burger. Well done, Adrian’s!
Adrians is a great resturant for beef on weck and has some of the best flavors perry’s has to offer. The service is always kind and helpful. It is a great family resturant to go and enjoy the summer time weather.
