Love this new location in Williamsville! I brought a large group of friends from out of town and they were very accommodating of our group size. The wings taste just like the downtown location and my guests loved them! I go to this location almost once a month since it opened and it’s consistently great! We used their new catering menu at my office today and the food was great again!

Anchor Bar wings in the ‘burbs. First off, no, it’s not the same as the 1047 Main Street location. It doesn’t have the same ambience or more-colorful neighborhood. The wings were decent, but not great. Ten of them (one pound) spread out in a line on the white rectangular serving plate makes them look really small, and they cool off quickly (but if you’re not into burning your tongue from heat, not spice, that could be a good thing). Add in three four-inch long strips of celery, and I wouldn’t blame you for being underwhelmed. On the other hand, the Anchor Bar Dip is delicious. I could almost make a meal of that. It’s simple, but really good. Scoop your multi-colored tortilla chips in a melted blend of cream cheese, blue cheese and Anchor bar sauce with chunks of chicken. The staff and our server were nicely attentive, timely and pleasant.I’ll go back, more for the Dip and to try the chicken wing soup. I’m more inclined to go to one of Duffs’ locations for wings, though.
