Tasteless. If you want overpriced, tasteless tex-mex, go here.
The jumbo buritto I ordered was AWESOME!! On the other hand the chicken nugget kids meal I ordered for my daughter was way over cooked and greasy! All in all, the burittos are great but they are overpriced.. I think I may go back again
It’s just like Chipotle. Except absolutely horrible….
A Top Contender. There are many positives working for Burrito Bay and this restaurant easily ranks up there with Moe’s. In fact and unlike Moe’s, the Bay put two scoops of beef on my Jumbo burrito. Moe’s seems to have gotten skimpy on their fillings recently. The beef was good though I feel next time I will try the chicken. In addition, Burrito Bay has wheat shells as well as the basic flour. My Jumbo beef burrito was bursting when it was being made and they were excellent to ask if this was OK. Not a problem with me. My problem was deciding on having hot sauce or salsa, so I went with both. I could have done without the hot sauce, which is more like Frank’s. For an additional $2.49 you can get nachos and a (free refillable) drink. Burrito Bay also has a mini key-chain flashlight to buy that allows for 10% discount on the next purchase. I was hoping the nachos/drink would be included like Moe’s does, but it makes it sort of pricey in a Chipotle fashion. The positive is at least the money stays local. My eating experience, as normal, was a little messy. They have nice dispensers for plastic utensils and napkins in which I had to make use of. They place is very well kept and clean. Unlike Mighty Taco, there were no after effects on me like tiredness and upset stomach and BB is better than Chipotle. The price is a little up there, but in this case I really would not mind returning and trying other items from the menu as I honestly do not need to over stuff myself. Out of five spoons, I give Burrito Bay a four shiny spoon rating.EDIT!!! (August 8, 2010): Since the last visit, of course I decided to return to celebrate a victory at the dentist in mid-July. I ordered the jumbo chicken burrito and made it a combo. This time I selected the flour shell and instead of Frank’s Hot Sauce I selected the spicier salsa. This was a winning combination. Their chicken is seasoned just right and combined with the salsa = magnificent! Frank’s is great for chicken wings and fingers, but does not cut it for me with burritos or tacos. I suspect I will retry the beef burrito with the salsa, but that recent visit was a definite 5 spoon or spork rating, no doubts about it.
I just don’t get it….. Ok, I’ve given this place three or four chances, because everyone keeps raving, but I just don’t understand the hype. If your idea of good Mexican (tex-mex – we have no true Mexican food in Buffalo) is extremely bland canned beans with Frank’s hot sauce then Burrito Bay is the place for you. I, on the other hand, enjoy tasting my food. Not to mention it was $27 for three veggie burritos that were so watery and flavorless that we only ate them out of spite because they were so expensive. ETS is waaaaaaaayyy better and a better value to boot. Don’t waste your money!
Not bad, but for the money Moes is a better value
Very good mexican. Wish they were open later than 9pm, (closed on sundays)but the food is really good. Not as fresh as I would like, but the price is right. Kinda like Mighty Taco but with more variety.
