Closest thing to border cuisine we have tried this far north!. We have lived on the Mexican border and this is the closest thing to that food (that we miss terribly!) that we have come across.The chile relleno, beans, and rice is what we remember. The basic tacos are very good.Their tortilla chips are different, but still very good. Ditto on the flour tortillas.The tamales and enchiladas are a bit different, too. Did not care for them as much.My husband and I like the special dinner for two.My kids like the kids meals.You can get a Jarritos there and a Mexicoke if you want. We LOVE that.They just got new benches and booths from Mexico…the interior now looks FANTASTIC! Both bright and engaging. Lost of privacy between booths, too.VERY kid friendly. LOVE most of the staff.Thanks for making us feel a little bit like home!

Not Mexican food. Read an article that this was authentic Mexican food but it is NOT! I am from California and I know. Everyone working there seemed depressed and needed huge doses of Prozac. Chips and salsa tasteless. Rice and beans looked like an angry cook just plopped them onto the plate. Taquitos were horrible and the guacamole had no guac and little mole. The waiter at one point asked EVERY other table if they were ok and skipped us. Even my daughter noticed this. The restaurant and staff made us feel depressed when we left since everyone working there seemed like they did NOT want to be there. Not going back.
Anyone who likes this place seriously has no clue what good food is. Ordered a tamale there and it was puny, barely had masa , overly spicy and DRY as a bone. Also, imitation crab meat, not real and NOT Noted as such on the menu. Mexican food for white people who don’t know better.

This is the best Mexican restaurant in buffalo. It’s simple and great. Pollo fundido is AWESOME and is probably the best item on the entire menu. The staff is awesome and always friendly. You should go if you’ve never been!
