Wow. We thought this restaurant would be a classy place to celebrate my wife’s Birthday (72)The service was terrible – a young guy who had no clue how to serve… waited and waited… I do have to say the food was excellent! The music – I was expecting a little Jazz;, something smooth and got a John Mellencamp kinda’ group – way too loud. Went up to tell him that but to no avail. That kindfa restaurant should not have a concert but an easy backgroung kind of music, not dominating the scene.
The embers restaurant. Probably the worse restaurant my wife and I have eaten at in Western New York. And, we eat out at least once/week. The service was understaffed, half of my wife’s salad had to remain uneaten as it had rotten pieces in it; the shrimp special that I had was terrible. The shrimp were overcooked and tough, the rice had no taste to it, and the entire dish was way too salty. We had to ask to have our water glasses refilled, and no one came around to ask us if everything was okay. It was simply a terrible experience, and it pained me to have to pay for the displeasure. In addition, before we when, we went on line to see what the menu was. Guess what: no description of the menu was on the website. And, for some unknown reason, this place had a 5-star associated with it. It must have been the owner who wrote the review!!
