Great home style korean food. In response to Anna, the soup is Yook Gae Jang, Spicy beef & vegetable soup, Catch the restaurant before 5:00 p.m. in the school off season, during school open til 8:00 p.m.. Everything is good here, local koreans come for the soups.
Sooooo Yummy!. When I was a UB student I loved Korean Express and I have only had three of their menu items. But they are so good I can never get myself to branch out and try something new. The Dok Bulgogi (spicy chicken) is delicious. Not too much heat, a generous portion and served with sticky white rice. The Japchae is also really good. They are glass noodles with thin strips of beef and veggies, also served with white rice. But my all time, absolute favorite is the Kim chi fried rice. You can get it instead of white rice with any dish or on its own. It’s got a bit of a heat to it but is full of flavor. And I highly recommend the hot sauce- it’s sweet and spicy. Now that I am no longer a student, the food is so good that I still drive out to campus, fight college kids for parking spots and go to Korean Express.
Spicy beef and veggie soup?. This soup was amazing, i have since moved to california and want to know the name of it so i can try and trace it down locally. it had glass noodles, beef, scallions, egg, sprouts (i think thats what they were) and a few other things that slip my mind. if anyone knows the name of this soup, please please post it!
